Sweet treats for strong minds at Leventhorpe

On Friday, 10th October, our dedicated Mental Health Prefect team hosted a successful bake sale outside the sixth-form common room to raise funds for mental health causes. Students from across the school generously baked and donated a delicious variety of cakes, helping to make the event a resounding success.

Throughout the morning, the team raised an impressive £300, which will be donated to two outstanding charities: Young Minds and Barnardo’s.

Young Minds is a leading UK charity committed to improving the mental health and Well-being of young people, offering support not only to children and teens but also to their families. Barnardo’s, the largest children’s charity in the UK, transforms the lives of approximately 500,000 children

and young people every year, providing vital care and support to those in need.

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting mental health, we want to remind everyone of our Pyjama Day taking place this Wednesday. We encourage as many students as possible to participate and help raise more money for this important and fantastic cause.

A huge thank you to our fantastic Mental Well-being Prefect team for their hard work and dedication in making this event such a success. Together, we are making a real difference in supporting the mental health of young people in our community.
