As we bounce through this half term on our way to the Easter break – let's go through some traditions and fun facts you may not know about Easter:
In the UK, there are many traditions to do with Easter.
Some include:
Hot cross buns – are marked with a cross because they symbolise the end of lent.
Easter eggs – mark the resurrection of Jesus and the begging of new life.
The Easter bunny – the easter bunny originated from a German legend of the hare
bringing eggs to only ‘well behaved’ children.
Creme eggs! - more than 1.5 million Cadbury creme eggs are produced every day!
Painting eggs - painting eggs originate from Ukrainian tradition.
