Pets In Clothes: Accessories or Necessities?

Many pets are seen in clothes; some people think that it's appropriate, but some think otherwise. We are here to help you make up your mind...
Firstly, which pets wear clothes? Typically, dogs and cats are the main pets who are in clothes, but it doesn't stop there. There have been reports of lizards in cowboy hats, pigs in boots and even chickens in tutus, but is it all really necessary?
What are the differences between functional and aesthetic clothes?
Some pets must wear cones for their whole lives, or for long periods of time. To make this more comfortable, some owners will use pillow-like rings instead. Another use of functional clothing is pet shoes. Pet shoes are functional because in some countries, the ground can be too hot or too cold for the poor pooches' paws.
On the other hand, there are aesthetic clothes. These can include tutus, top hats and head bands. Some pets love this, or appear to. Many owners say their pets love wearing things but we can't communicate with them so how do we know this for sure?
Some function as both: some pets must wear jumpers to keep warm in the wintery months if they don't have much fur, but others do it for the aesthetic and likes on social media. Is this really fair for the pet? Are we pampering wild animals or do they enjoy getting dressed up?
Some animals give off signals that they like this affection, but some don't, and the owner will be irresponsible and carry on anyway.
In conclusion, it’s up to you! If you think that your pet enjoys this affection, then carry on, but if they give off signals that they don’t like it (growling, baring teeth, etc..) then stop!
